Snippets for record keeping
I enjoy reading everyone's posts, but not really posting. I suffered a major setback today. People are so incredibly self centered. I've really tried to get away from that, and I'll continue to try and do so in spite of what happened today. I had a mid life crisis at 23 and bought an M3. I take delivery Friday. The stock market is an insider's game. I am not an insider. I hope it's all worth it. I need to let go of so much Current Mood: crushedCurrent Music: in flames | | Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 | | 9:33 pm |
Good stuff
Ok so I bought the Sigarms p220r. The finest tactical handgun in the world! I just need to go through the CA waiting period of 10 days now. I play a lot of tennis but never get any better. I also work a lot but never get anything done. My parents just purchased a "fun" house in las vegas. It is very close to the strip. I would like to turn it into a house of hedonism and debauchery. Dad approves. Who's in? Rick, I don't even need to ask. | | Tuesday, March 21st, 2006 | | 3:45 pm |
omg..
So there is this show on tonight @ 10 on Bravo called "The Real Housewives of Orange County". I've seen the hour long preview, and if the actual show follows suit I'll probably move to Canada. Unfortunately, I live in the same community as these people. I am embarrassed to say I live in coto de caza, whereas I used to say so with pride. Idiots, thank you. Is the world ending?
WTF the weather has been crazy lately. 81 in DC today? 20's in Cali the past few nights? The weather has been weird the past few years, who knows how much of it is due to global warming, if any. I do believe that warming must be happening, it only makes sense when you burn a billion trillion barrels of fossil fuels every day. Also, shot some more guns this weekend- I shot the sig .45 acp p220 again, and a Heckler and Koch .40 . Based on my research thus far, both at the range and on the internet, the sig sauer .45 is a superior weapon. It is built for combat and is rated the most reliable, and I love the punch of the .45. I want to try one more caliber before I make my decision, the .357 sig, although I think I have already decided to roll with a .45 of some kind, most likely this http://www.sigarms.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=6&productid=146 Current Mood: krunk 'datCurrent Music: fox news cost of freedom | | Tuesday, March 7th, 2006 | | 10:16 pm |
Branching Out
I've started to expand my horizons a lot lately, at least in my own small ways. I purchased a totally sweet mountain bike that I ride almost every day, by myself. It's pretty sweet. I went shooting SUnday evening, I rented a .45 ACP and a Sig Sauer 9mm. The difference between the two weapons was significant. I have decided that I will be purchasing a .45 as soon as I do enough research to figure out which one is best. I've also been doing a ton of outdoor stuff, like camping and hiking on the weekends, with or without other people. All I know is that the outdoors is incredible, and I've never really appreciated that before. Current Mood: Cmon weekendCurrent Music: Atreyu | | Friday, February 17th, 2006 | | 9:32 pm |

Good
This week has been good. Yesterday I spoke with a loan officer and got approved for a home loan up to a certain amount. So today my realtor and I visited a bunch of properties- gorgeous, I can't wait to get into something. I found a really nice one with a huge front porch, big fireplace inside, it was awesome. So we'll see what happens, I'll be looking for the next few days. If anyone wants to come live with me here in the OC for a bit hit me up hahahahahha. wow
just on the news: "we have found that most recipients of the disaster relief debit cards after the katrina hurricanes used them in ways inconsistent with disaster relief. For example, many of the charges include those for tattoos, bail bonds, adult entertainment, jewelry, and traffic tickets incurred before the hurricanes." i feel so great about busting my ass and giving 25% to the government so people can get a new tattoo or bail their mom out of jail. it seems that for a lot of people down there, that whole $2000 dollars was like a winning lottery ticket. you should feel great about it too! *edit* the person on the news who stated the above was a congressional auditor. so no blaming it on the channel~! I am deleting that drunken post and replacing it with an equally offensive rant: Mr. and Mrs. Smith is probably the worst movie I have ever seen. Current Mood: I DO WHAT I WANTCurrent Music: omg | | Monday, February 6th, 2006 | | 6:07 pm |
Beowulf is not happy, he told me so
If Beowulf were alive he would be pissed! No one messes with the Danes! Hey you know what? The people rioting in the middle east right now are a bunch of primitive nutcases. And by the way, CNN, please stop saying that "Islam is a peaceful religion". Yeah, maybe idealogically, but at what point do actions transcend words or good intentions. They are not peaceful in any way. This time when they burn down their own cities let them pay to rebuild them. year in review
I got the idea to post a "year in review" from Rick. Now I don't know how Rick usually does it, and I hope he doesn't mind me stealing his idea. I think it is a great one though, I can look back at this many years from now and it will be sweet. So here is my year in review, self: This was a year of ups and downs, no doubt about it. It definitely finishes up somewhere in the middle. Nothing just "ok" happened this year, it was either something totally awesome or something totally crappy. Let's see if they balance out: +++++++++++++++++++ ----------------- Graduated university Goodbye college / friendz Great Hawaii trip Dumped.. hahaha wtf Incredible job Pop passed away Now that I think about it.. this was a really tough year. The way I'm thinking, I can always get a new job, go on another trip, or get a degree.. that stuff was fine and dandy, but it just doesn't balance out the bad stuff. Pop passing away- I still haven't come to terms with that, I pretty much block that out. Getting dumped a couple of months ago.. I'm getting there on that one, but I admit initially it was difficult. I really miss having someone to talk to. She was a great friend, if anything, and I miss that. It gets very lonely out here. Friends.. friends.. work definitely took its toll on that unfortunately. Not much I could do- I hope this job thing is worth it, because it was a tough decision to make. My only consolation is the next step is most likely back to Fairfax, and that can happen by next January if I do ok out here. So there is something to work for. Who knows, most people I knew probably didn't like me much anyway, but I liked everybody a lot so I don't really care. It would be nice to see people I like. So yeah, tough year. Lets make this one better, I'm tired of forcing myself to feel nothing. Current Mood: aklsjdfkjqowiejfiasCurrent Music: NIN OMG OMG | | Tuesday, December 13th, 2005 | | 10:07 pm |

Mellow
Thanksgiving was cool, even with mom still in NY. The lead singer of dad's band and her friend came over and cooked up all sorts of food, we had good times. Little bro had a pool party with a surprisingly high number of chicks.. good job dude. I bought a car on Wednesday, being delivered sometime this morning. I bought it off this website called www.carsdirect.com, which at first I thought was crazy but the whole experience has been great so far. I bought an '06 honda accord, and after a week of negotiating with dealers I couldn't get a lower price then the carsdirect one, so I just went ahead and got it. I am amazed at how easy and friendly their personnel are, they really do a lot to earn your business. Great style. I can't believe that she won't even return my calls. Unbelievable. Oh man
Rough couple of weeks this was. I flew to NY on Wednesday the 2nd with mom because papa wasn't doing so well. He wound up passing away that Saturday morning. What a hard thing to deal with, I haven't dealth with death before. Although papa and I were very close, I think it is more painful to see his children upset then to see him die of natural causes. The funeral service was beautiful, and although I don't subscribe to any sort of faith, I can see how helpful it can be during these kinds of things. This will take time to come to terms with. I spent this week (9th) in Canada, Moncton to be exact, I believe in Nova Scotia. Canada was beautiful, the land is still very pristine. The women of Canada were cute as well, but many of them look like Celine Dion which is weird. We had many a seafood feast! I hope everyone is doing well, and is counter-striking daily. I hope to rejoin soon. Current Mood: productiveCurrent Music: fax-a-whirrin! | | Monday, October 31st, 2005 | | 6:39 pm |
Life is so awesome
I'm sitting out front on my porch, giving away candy to the little bastards that are besetting upon my house like the plague. At first I was kinda sad, because I miss trick or treating and being a little guy and all that that entails. Then I realized- life is totally sweet. Now I get to give the candy away, and make some little fella happy, just like people did for me when I was his age. I'm finally coming to terms with my age, not that I'm old or anything, but I used to miss the past so much and think that things will never be as good as they were. I was right, because things are so much better now, life gets better every day. Attitude truly changes everything. I do hope some peeps come to Cali for a visit. <3 203 + 303 Current Mood: :)Current Music: lil' bastids | | Friday, October 28th, 2005 | | 9:58 pm |

I haven't updated in awhile. Glad to see that everyone is doing well, I enjoy reading all of your posts. I've been assigned to southern California, not sure exactly where yet. Right now I'm staying with the parents, hoping I can move back in. That would be sweet. I test drove some cars today, it amazes me how sophisticated the tech in these things is getting.. I can't even begin to describe the stuff inside of a new m3. Nor can I begin to afford one. Therefore, tomorrow I am going to call about a 1997 4 door m3 up in eureka, CA. Now that's more like it! | | Saturday, October 1st, 2005 | | 10:24 pm |
oh man
I miss you guys an aweful lot.. I hope that all of this is worth it in the end. I hope you all know that I'm not blowing anybody off, I haven't even seen my family since June. Work is intense, I need to learn to create a balance. I miss freestyling with 303... we had some great battles. I often listen to Seek and Destroy and long for Crash and I to seek and destroy Gennessee's. I long to drink a forty of natural ice with Pete. I long to smoke like a chimney with Rick. I long to chat birds with Broaf. I long to rush double doors with clint. I long to attack foodlion boxes with Guru. Hopefully soon. In other news, AK and I have been done for quite awhile now, almost a month. We are so completely different, this will be better for both of us. I think she wants to join the peace corps or something, that doesn't really go along with my whole life plan or whatever so. But I did meet a nice girl in class, we are going to SNL this coming Saturday, should be pretty sweet. Current Mood: totally sweetCurrent Music: tv, i hate tv |
